‘What does mental health mean to you as a student?’

10 October 2018
World Mental Health Day
Queen Mary University of London

Students at Queen Mary University of London were invited into the booth as part of a series of events for World Mental Health Day. Many lively conversations were held, with sometimes up to four people cramming into the tiny space to discuss their understanding of mental health issues in relation to academia and the lives of young people in London.

Listen here to an ever-changing, generative speech collage made from conversations held in the booth at this event. A computer program cuts and splices different phrases of speech together, reforming the archive and creating new connections between speakers.

The speech collage is a living artwork, hear a different narrative every time you return to this page.
